Joh.18:6 oleva ilmaus [ἔπεσαν] löytyy myös Matt.18:26 jossa se tarkoittaa eteenpäin kumarrusta kunniotuksen sekä palvonnan merkityksessä. Sama verbi on myös Ilm.1:17. Kaatuivatko sotilaat myös Joh.18:6 kumartaen Jeesuksen eteen, koska Hän sanoi YHWH:n nimen - "Minä olen"? Selvää on että kaikkien ihmisten eräänä päivänä täytyy polvistua Jeesuksen edessä, Isän Jumalan kunniaksi.
